This
section is just starting, but we hope to have several
myths solved about which products are safe and which products
are unsafe for pets.
Swiffer
WetJet - (read
the letter)
It has come to our attention that some people
are worried about the cleaning fluid used in the Wet
Jets or cleaning pads. We checked the sale of Swiffers
at amazon.com,
and found a warning to keep out of reach of children
and pets, and in the liquid or undiluted form can be
dangerous. Keep in mind that most cleaning products
have this label. So here's how we solved the true mystery.
We went right to swiffer.com and checked their FAQ page.
Lo and behold, the answer was there, and now it's here.

Question
"Is Swiffer safe for animals? What
if my pet licks the floor?"
Answer
"Great news for you and your pets!
Swiffer Wet and Swiffer WetJet are specially designed
to not leave a residue on the floor, so there's no need
to rinse. We suggest you make sure the floor is completely
dry before letting your pet walk on it, though, because
wet floors can be slippery. Since there isn't a residue,
there are no problems if your pet licks the floor.
No more worrying about the owner of those
muddy paw prints. You can enjoy the convenience of our
Swiffer products without any worries for your pet's
safety.
"
It
seems to us that the Swiffer WetJet is less dangerous
than a lot of the other cleaning fluids used on many
areas that a pet can reach, like the bathroom, mirrors,
or so on. You should also check some of the ingredients
in your other products or see if they leave
a residue. |
