We're just starting this section, but we
hope to have several myths solved about which products
are pet safe and which products are unsafe for pets.
Swiffer
WetJet - (view

Some people are asking about the cleaning
fluid used in Swiffer products. We searched for the
sale of Swiffers at amazon.com,
and found a warning label to keep out of reach of children
and pets, and in the liquid or undiluted form can be
dangerous. Although, most cleaning products also have
this same warning. We then visited the Swiffer website
and on the FAQ page, we found the answer.

Question
"Is Swiffer safe for animals? What
if my pet licks the floor?"
Answer
"Great news for you and your pets!
Swiffer Wet and Swiffer WetJet are specially designed
to not leave a residue on the floor, so there's no need
to rinse. We suggest you make sure the floor is completely
dry before letting your pet walk on it, though, because
wet floors can be slippery. Since there isn't a residue,
there are no problems if your pet licks the floor.
No more worrying about the owner of those
muddy paw prints. You can enjoy the convenience of our
Swiffer products without any worries for your pet's
safety."
In
our opinion, from these facts, the Swiffer WetJet seems
even less dangerous than many of the other many cleaning
fluids used on many accessible areas to a pet, like
the toilet, walls, or so on. You should also check some
of the ingredients in your other products or see if
they leave a residue. |
